Al Akhawayn University announces new scholarships in recognition of the efforts of healthcare professionals, education and public authorities.

 

In line with the momentum of national mobilization and solidarity observed in the management of the Covid-19 pandemic and in recognition of the considerable efforts made by health, education and of the public authority which relentlessly watches over the safety of Moroccans in the current context, Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane is setting up 30 merit-based scholarships intended for deserving admitted candidates whose parents operate in the aforementioned fields. Applications for these scholarships can be submitted immediately and until September 4, 2020.

 

“These women and men show professionalism, self-sacrifice and generosity in their service to all Moroccans. But beyond their responsibilities as professionals, we should not forget that they are mothers and fathers, who are, very often, required to make enormous sacrifices so that their children reach levels of academic excellence and are building a promising future. These scholarships from Al Akhawayn University also come to symbolize recognition for the enormous sacrifices made by these parents”, confirmed Dr. Abdessamad Fatmi, Dean of Student Affairs.

 

Since the beginning of the crisis, AUI, through its entire community, was mobilized strongly, in particular by contributing an amount of DH 3 million to socio-economic initiatives to cope with to the pandemic, in particular in favor of the special Covid-19 fund, but also by providing direct aid to needy families in the Ifrane region impacted by this crisis. These contributions have been made possible in part by the precious donations of AUI community: professors, staff, students and alumni.
