Qualifications :

• University degree in social studies, social affairs, community development or any other related field
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• Knowledge/Expertise on SGBV (Sexual and Gender Based Violence)
• Excellent knowledge of French and Arabic
• Strong drafting and analytical skills
• Excellent organization, communication and advanced computer skills
• Knowledge of another official UN language(s)

Living Conditions:
Morocco is a middle-income country; nevertheless in 2012, it was 130th on the scale of the Human Development Index. To improve this situation, the country has for a decade, launched an ambitious development program, the Initiative for Human Development, in which the United Nations actively participate. Furnished or unfurnished rooms are available from $ 500 per month. The national currency is the dirham. The climate is mild in Rabat with very hot summers and short, rainy winters. Public transport, including a train system, is cheap and connects the major centers of the country. There are plenty of taxis in major cities. These cities have a variety of diversions as cinemas, restaurants and shopping.

Conditions of Service
A 12-month contract; with subsequent contract extensions subject to availability of funding, operational necessity and satisfactory performance. However, there is no expectation of renewal of the assignment.
Travel to duty station (if applicable) and a Settling-In-Grant will be provided in the event duty station is not within commuting distance from the place of recruitment. A Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) of 9.000 MAD is provided monthly to cover housing, utilities and normal cost of living expenses. Life, health and permanent disability insurance are included (health insurance for up to 3 dependents), as well as final repatriation (if applicable) and resettlement allowance for satisfactory service.
