POSITION          :           FSN-10

OPENING DATE:         January 6, 2015

CLOSING DATE:         January 27, 2015

WORK HOURS :           Full-time; 40 hours/week


SALARY :  Gross Salary DH 348,606 p.a. (Starting Salary based on 40 hours including allowances and bonus. U.S. Mission will withhold from gross salary employee’s portion of CNSS and CIMR contributions, health/life/disability insurance contributions, as well as all tax obligations as imposed by the US and/or host country governments)

 

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Rabat is seeking an individual for the position of Financial Analyst in the Financial Management Office. Detailed position description is available at USAID/EXO.


BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:

This position is located in the Financial Management Office (FMO). The Financial Analyst is responsible for the full range of financial analysis functions for technical team(s). The Financial Analyst is the primary representative of FMO to technical teams and performs comprehensive financial analysis and provides technical teams with financial support and advice. S/he will work closely with the Mission’s technical teams to fully support USAID Forward’s procurement reform. S/he will be involved in assessing the financial capabilities and providing necessary support and training in coordination with key USAID staff to USAID recipients. This position is a technical position and requires advanced skills in client management, planning and creativity.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

Education: Possession of a university degree in accounting, finance or business administration, economics or similar fields is required.

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in progressively responsible professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, auditing, and/or accounting required.

Language: Level IV (fluent) English, level IV (fluent) Arabic, and level III (good working knowledge) French are required.

 

Skills and Abilities: Ability to work under high pressure and conflicting/emergency work demands. Excellent analytical skills to assess the reliability and value of data which is obtained; ability to determine the financial strengths and weaknesses of implementing organization and to make independent judgments regarding the institutional capabilities and the adequacy of accounting systems and controls. Creativity to proactively develop solutions to issues and in a constantly changing working environment. Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with external and internal clients at all management levels and financial knowledge levels. Excellent computer skills are required.
